HydroCAD® Stormwater Modeling - Since 1986
|
Sample Pond #2Large detention areas may require elaborate outlet devices, such as the concrete structure shown here in a flood control project. While the design and construction of these devices can be complex, the hydraulic modeling is often comparable to a that of a basic riser structure. When modeling any complex outlet, the key is to break it down into a set of basic hydraulic components which are more easily modeled. These can then be combined to model the behavior of the overall structure. This structure is part of a flood control project in the Saco River watershed near the Maine-New Hampshire state line. |
